IN THE CLOSET is the first short film of doorQ.com! On a night almost like any other, a shy, awkward young man has his first ever sexual encounter with an older, experienced, but a bit jaded, trick. Unlike other nights, unlike other dark and odd evenings, this time passion is shared, souls are exposed and secrets are ultimately revealed -- but at a cost. You see, sometimes, in order for someone to come out, someone else must go in. Willingly or not. Starring J.T. Tepnapa (STAR TREK: PHASE II, JUDAS KISS) and Brent Corrigan (ANOTHER GAY SEQUEL, MILK).

| NEWS: IN THE CLOSET Nominated For The Iris Prize |

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Los Angeles, CA. -- August 23rd, 2009: The Iris Prize, an international gay and lesbian short film contest honoring the best LGBT shorts from around the world, has announced their nominees for the Best Short of 2009 -- and IN THE CLOSET is on the list.
Only 30 shorts are nominated to compete for The Iris Prize. The winner receives the largest award for a short film: £25,000.
"Saying his 'this frakking awesome,' really does out me as a geek, doesn't it?" the film's director, Jody Wheeler, said about the nomination. "There are so many incredible films on the list. I know it's considered a cliche but, at least for me, it's true: I really am honored to be nominated."
Other films nominated include THE ISLAND by Trevor Anderson (Canada), THE BATH by Lee Mi-rang (South Korea), and TEDDY by Christopher Banks (New Zealand).
IN THE CLOSET stars J.T. Tepnapa (STAR TREK: PHASE II, MASTURBATION: THE ART OF SELF LOVING) and Brent Corrigan (ANOTHER GAY SEQUEL, MILK) and was written and directed by Jody Wheeler. It tells the tale of a shy, awkward man and his encounter with an older, jaded trick. Passion is shared and souls are exposed -- but so are deadly secrets.
Created in 2007, the Iris Prize is a festival whose goal is to raise the international profile of LGBT Cinema and to help a new generation of filmmakers achieve success on the world stage.
Held in Cardiff, Wales this October 7-10th, the festival selects short films from festivals such as Outfest, The London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival and Sydney's Queer Screen Vision Festival. The shortlisted films are then judged by a global panel of artists and filmmakers. The winner of The Iris Prize receives £25,000 to make their next short film in the UK.
IN THE CLOSET is a project of doorQ.com: The Gay Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Site, a web destination bringing together gay fans of genre entertainment.
[I also want to thank JT, Brent, Dan, James, Dex, Joel, Carlos, Adam, Beth and everyone else who helped put the film together. You guys rock. -- Jody]
